Job Information

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Manual/CNC Lathe and Mill experience
  2. Trade school or Apprenticeship
  3. Machine shop math including Trigonometry
  4. Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints
  5. Ability to read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
  6. Strong written and verbal communication
  7. Understanding of Cartesian Coordinate system
  8. Ability to handle, read, and use precision measuring equipment

Typical Job Duties:

  1. Operation of manual and CNC Lathes and Mills
  2. Setup of manual and CNC Lathes and Mills
  3. Process verification to customer Purchase Order and internal Manufacturing
  4. Using precision measuring and gauging equipment to verify part compliance
  5. Replacing worn or broken cutting tools
  6. Changing tool offsets based on cutting tool geometry or part measurement
  7. Frequent verifying of measuring equipment to traceable standards
  8. Writing, updating, and modifying CNC code using shop standard vernacular
  9. Maintaining machine lubrication fluid levels
  10. Maintaining cutting tool coolant levels and concentration
  11. Protection of parts and materials against corrosion where applicable
  12. General cleaning of machine and surrounding areas
  13. Understand and carryout the Quality Policy
  14. Understand the business management system as it applies to job
  15. Other duties as assigned

Other Details

  • This position reports to the shift manager.
  • This position does NOT require supervisory responsibility.
  • This position does NOT require travel.
